I should write a book, The Painful Injury Route to Weight Loss. It turns out in the last three months I have lost about 15 kg - that's about two and a half stone in old money. How? Basically by not being in charge of my own meals, and eating normally. The rate of weight loss is about the same as I got when I was taking Sibutramine (that weight-loss drug that was recently withdrawn due to fears of it causing heart-attacks). I knew it was happening; i could tell from feeling, and others could tell from looking, that I was losing weight.
The site has been moved to a new server, and in the process upgraded to a newer version of the software on which it runs. If you're seeing weird glitches in the way the site is being rendered, it may be because your browser, or an upstream proxy, is caching versions of some of the auxiliary files; css, javascript, et al, from the old site, and not reloading them from the new one. A shift-reload on any page will probably clear it up. It's a hazard of moving the site without moving the URL, I guess. :-)
Sorry, no new content to go with the new-everything-else; but I promise, it is still being worked upon. The smart thing, if you haven't already done so, is to subscribe to the site feed; then you'll get notified through your RSS reader, whichever it is, when there is something new. On most browsers these days you can subscribe simply by clicking on the RSS icon on the right hand end of the URL field at the top.
I'm afraid I've decided to turn off the ability of anonymous users to post comments to the site. They're already moderated, but it's getting tiresome dealing with deleting several dozen spam comments a day.
So I'm afraid from now on, in order to post a comment to this site you do have to be a registered user.
